I was talked into it by some of the girls already playing and ended up loving it.
How are you finding playing physically? At the start it was really difficult trying to get physically fit enough to be able to play around the injuries I’ve collected over the years but at the moment it’s an excellent challenge for me to get my skills up. Is it what you thought it would be? I didn’t realise how much I’d actually have to run in a game coming from a netball/basketball background it’s pretty different. Who’s your favourite AFL team, men’s or women’s? I’d have to say the Swans Favourite music? Literally anything from house to country. Favourite place to eat out? Samaras Favourite ‘ME TIME’ thing to do... Taking my dog for a walk down the beach. If you could change one thing… I would have started pre-season training in like October. Favourite quote or inspirational words... You gotta risk it to get the biscuit. What do you like about NDAFC? The support I receive from all the girls on my team and from the boys sides is incredible both on and off the field. It’s a really positive all round team to be a part of and it makes going to training and games really fun. Who do you nominate for the next profile, and what is one question you would ask them? Mikaylee, How do you manage school as well as playing both AFL and Soccer? Lastly, whats it like playing with your mum? It’s actually pretty awesome. We get to egg each other on during games even if she can’t hear me yelling half the time.
